Wow is all I can say about this delicious desert usually reserved for those early winter post fall holiday’s. I am in love with this little simple pie, baked with simple ingredients that make the most amazing pie. It really and truly is more than the sum of parts. I remember as a young boy, waiting with anticipation for my grandmother to make this pie. She’s been gone a few years now, and I’m happy to have baked this amazing little jewel in honor of my darling grandmother, Carmen. Serve this pie any time of the day with a velvety topping of Chantilly cream (whipped cream). I love you grandma!
